Job summary

System One is seeking a ServiceNow Discovery Developer to design, customize, and support Discovery capabilities within a large enterprise setting. The role focuses on identifying infrastructure, servers, network technologies, and cloud resources, ensuring accurate CMDB data, and building advanced Discovery patterns and connectors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ServiceNow development with hands-on Discovery and CMDB work.
• Experience building and customizing Discovery patterns beyond out-of-box.
• Strong understanding of CMDB, CIs, relationships, data quality.
• Experience with Service Graph Connectors or CMDB data ingestion methods.
• Ability to onboard infrastructure data into CMDB via multiple ingestion approaches.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate across infrastructure, network, servers, cloud and asset teams.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT).

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize ServiceNow Discovery patterns.
• Configure and support Service Graph Connectors and CMDB ingestion.
• Discover and onboard on-prem infrastructure and related enterprise resources.
• Troubleshoot Discovery failures, pattern and connector issues.
• Investigate duplicate or inaccurate configuration items.
• Validate discovered configuration items and improve CMDB data quality.
• Support hardware and software asset data in IT asset management processes.
• Customize ServiceNow functionality to meet enterprise requirements.
• Work with infrastructure, network, server, cloud, asset management, and operations teams to resolve Discovery issues.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development and troubleshooting.
