Role

Splunk/Cisco IT seeks a dynamic ServiceNow Software Developer with strong ServiceNow experience and development skills. Collaborating with the ServiceNow Principal Architect and Development Teams, you will share responsibility for the overall ServiceNow solution at Splunk/Cisco. We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer with expertise particularly in ITSM practices and related SNOW modules.

Responsibilities

• Provide application ServiceNow development services and technical leadership support.
• Develop program logic for new applications or modify existing application logic.
• Design, code, test, debug, document, implement, and maintain ServiceNow software applications.
• Analyze requirements, maintain, test, and integrate application components.
• Ensure successful implementation of system improvements.
• Handle incidents per SLAs, maintain system stability through scheduled maintenance, and address issues impacting SLAs.
• Implement ServiceNow workflows that integrate with external web services.
• Design and develop a workflow framework adaptable to various workflows, continuously seeking process improvements.
• Guide adoption using standard methodologies and influence customer investment in solutions.
• Define ServiceNow service offerings, align with customer expectations on SLAs and metrics.
• Contribute to a ServiceNow roadmap aligned with long-term IT and customer goals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of ITSM experience.
• 4+ years of ServiceNow platform development experience.
• ServiceNow Certified Systems Administration (CSA).
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.
• ITIL V3 Foundation or higher.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX.
• Experience with web frameworks like React or AngularJS.
• Ability to develop web services such as Scripted REST APIs and REST Messages.
• Experience integrating with data sources for CMDB (SOAP, REST, Webhooks, JSON, JDBC, file imports).
• Knowledge of software development best practices: logging, unit testing (ATF), code reviews.
• Advanced scripting skills with best practices in Script Includes, Business Rules, etc.
• Experience with upgrades and remediation of skipped updates.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Certified Implementation Specialist in ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITBM, ITOM, etc.).
• ServiceNow Service Portal micro-certifications.
• ITIL V4 Foundation or higher.
