Role

Splunk/Cisco IT is seeking a dynamic ServiceNow Software Developer with strong ServiceNow experience and development skills. Working alongside the ServiceNow Principal Architect and Development Teams, you will share responsibility for the overall ServiceNow solution at Splunk/Cisco. We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer with expertise in ITSM practices and associated SNOW modules.

Responsibilities

• Provide application ServiceNow development services and technical leadership support.
• Develop program logic for new applications or modify existing applications.
• Design, code, test, debug, document, implement, and maintain ServiceNow software applications.
• Analyze requirements, maintain, test, and integrate application components.
• Ensure successful implementation of system improvements.
• Handle incidents per SLAs, maintain system stability, and address issues impacting SLAs.
• Implement ServiceNow workflows integrating with external web services.
• Design and develop a workflow framework to improve manual processes.
• Guide adoption and influence customer investments in the solution.
• Define ServiceNow services, align with customers on SLAs and metrics.
• Contribute to a ServiceNow roadmap aligning with long-term IT and customer goals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall ITSM experience.
• 4+ years of ServiceNow platform development experience.
• ServiceNow Certified Systems Administration (CSA).
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.
• ITIL V3 Foundation or higher.
• Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX.
• Experience with web frameworks like React or AngularJS.
• Ability to develop web services such as Scripted REST APIs.
• Experience integrating multiple data sources (SOAP, REST, Webhooks, JSON, JDBC, file imports).
• Knowledge of software development methodologies, including logging, unit testing, and code reviews.
• Advanced scripting skills with best practices.
• Experience with upgrades and remediation.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Certified Implementation Specialist in ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITBM, ITOM).
• ServiceNow Service Portal micro-certifications.
• ITIL V4 Foundation or higher.
