Job summary

GCyber is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to lead the design and development of a custom ServiceNow application, integrated with an AWS-enabled environment. You will translate requirements into technical designs, implement advanced server-side and client-side functionality, and guide other developers.

The role requires strong JavaScript expertise, experience with REST integrations, data modeling, and security considerations, plus proven ability to mentor teammates.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required and DoD 8570/8140 IAT II certification.
• Seven+ years software development with four+ years hands-on ServiceNow app dev.
• Experience designing and developing complex custom or scoped apps.
• Advanced JavaScript skills and strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with ServiceNow data modeling, security, workflows, and REST integrations.
• Experience integrating external enterprise systems, including auth, transformation, retries.
• Proven track record of code reviews and mentoring developers.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex capabilities within a custom ServiceNow app.
• Translate requirements into technical designs and development tasks.
• Develop server-side and client-side functionality using JavaScript and ServiceNow APIs.
• Design data models, security structures, workflows, and interfaces.
• Develop integrations with AWS services, external apps, and data sources.
• Design REST APIs, IntegrationHub connections, MID Server integrations.
• Contribute to Kafka-based messaging and Elasticsearch-based analytics patterns.
• Establish coding standards and reusable patterns for maintainability and security.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor mid-level and junior developers.
