Job summary

GCyber is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to lead the technical development of a custom ServiceNow application integrated with an AWS-enabled environment. The role requires translating operational requirements into technical designs, developing complex capabilities, and guiding other developers.

You will design data models, security structures, workflows, and interfaces, while developing server-side and client-side functionality and integrations with external systems using JavaScript,

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT II Certification.
• Seven+ years of software development experience with at least four years in ServiceNow development.
• Strong experience designing and developing complex custom or scoped applications.
• Advanced JavaScript skills and solid engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with REST integrations, data modeling, security, testing and release management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex capabilities within a custom ServiceNow application.
• Translate requirements into technical designs and development tasks.
• Develop server-side and client-side functionality using JavaScript, ServiceNow APIs, and scoped apps.
• Design data models, security structures, workflows, interfaces, and error-handling.
• Develop and maintain integrations with AWS-hosted services and external systems.
• Design REST APIs, scripted services, and MID Server integrations.
• Contribute to Kafka-based messaging and Elasticsearch-based patterns.
• Establish coding standards and reusable components, conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Diagnose complex issues across components and support testing, release planning, and production troubleshooting.
• Produce designs, interface docs, data mappings, and deployment procedures.
