Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an Lead Architect in the Infrastructure Platforms Digital Workflows Product Line in San Francisco. You own the architecture for a defined area of the ServiceNow platform, guiding teams to secure, resilient, and operable designs while partnering with product, engineering, and control stakeholders to meet standards.

You will drive target-state architectures, enable delivery through hands-on leadership, and ensure solutions align with risk, performance, and reliability

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on infrastructure architecture concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Deep knowledge of ServiceNow architecture and core concepts.
• Proven ability to define and socialize target-state architectures and designs across teams.
• Strong command of API-led and event-driven integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead ServiceNow platform and solution architecture for strategic initiatives from discovery through delivery and improvement.
• Define target-state architectures, reference designs, and reusable patterns across workflow, data model, CMDB alignment, identity/access, and environment strategy.
• Drive architecture governance by facilitating design reviews and documenting ADRs and trade-offs.
• Translate non-functional requirements into implementable designs for availability, performance, security, and observability.
• Own integration strategy between ServiceNow and upstream/downstream systems using APIs, events, and middleware patterns.
• Identify architectural risks early and propose pragmatic mitigation plans and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and control partners to manage dependencies and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Mentor engineers and architects through design coaching and reviews to raise the technical bar across teams.
• Champion automation, reusability, and engineering excellence to improve reliability across the delivery lifecycle.
• Guide instrumentation, logging/monitoring, capacity planning, and incident learnings into design updates.
• Leverage enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within architecture work with validation and data sensitivity awareness.
