Job summary

Progress Residential is seeking a Service Technician III to support maintenance and repair of our single-family rental homes. You will handle make-readies, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure move-in readiness and resident satisfaction.

The role requires HVAC and appliance repair knowledge, EPA certifications, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Tools are provided by you as needed, and the position may involve on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Three years of progressive maintenance and safety experience.
• Intermediate computer skills, including industry-specific technology.
• Regularly performs manual, task-oriented work under minimal supervision.
• High School diploma – preferred.
• EPA Section 608 Type I – Appliance, Type II – HVAC or Universal.
• Working knowledge of basic appliance repairs.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC repairs.
• Must provide own industry-specific hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Responds to service requests and prioritizes tasks.
• Performs maintenance, repairs, and make-readies per standards.
• Identify and report hazards to managers.
• Ensure preventive maintenance programs are followed and documented.
• Maintain tools and inventory for repairs.
• Coordinate with the Service Manager for schedules and on-call duties.
