Job summary

Penske Buick GMC of Cerritos is seeking a Service Technician L4A to diagnose and repair vehicles on-site per factory and dealership standards.

The role requires GM dealership experience (4+ years) or equivalent, and current Gold Certification in Electrical Electronics plus multiple GM specialties. You will document findings, perform tests, and ensure quality before handoff to the Service Advisor.

Qualifications

• GM dealership technician experience (4+ years) preferred.
• Gold Certification in Electrical Electronics
• Cold Certification in GM specialties (3+ of them) within 12 months
• Ability to operate manual transmissions
• Knowledge of diagnostic tools and safety regulations

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles to factory/service specifications.
• Perform oil changes and broader repairs as assigned.
• Document all work on repair orders and inspection sheets.
• Road test vehicles to ensure quality of work.
• Coordinate with Service Advisor on additional work and timelines.
• Maintain tools, workspace and safety standards.
