Job summary

Cecil Atkission Motors is seeking a Service Technician to perform vehicle repairs and maintenance in a dealership setting. You will diagnose, test, and repair automotive systems, and coordinate with the Service Advisor on additional services and time estimates.

We value a strong mechanical background, teamwork, and a willingness to complete GM training. A valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check and drug test are required.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; GM training provided.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
• Solid automotive background and familiarity with dealership upkeep.
• Teamwork skills to collaborate with service staff and technicians.
• Willingness to submit to a drug screen and background check.
• Able to obtain/maintain a clean and valid driver’s license.
• Fast learner and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C).
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional services and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
