The role requires reviewing repair orders, diagnosing malfunctions, ordering parts, and performing timely, quality repairs with attention to safety and cleanliness. Michigan certification and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Michigan Mechanic Certification required.
• Certifications in Engine Repair, Steering Suspension, Brakes, HVAC, Engine Tune-Up, and Electrical Systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review repair orders and perform assigned work efficiently and accurately.
• Diagnose causes of vehicle malfunctions and complete authorized repairs.
• Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain necessary components.
• Tag, save, and turn in parts for warranty or customer requests.
• Inform service advisors of additional work needed or delays in repair completion.
• Document all work performed and conduct road tests to confirm repair quality.
• Ensure vehicles are kept clean and maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations governing automotive service work.
• Participate in training and stay current with technical bulletins.
