Job summary

Buxton Consulting is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our remote/hybrid team. The role requires 8+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow, with emphasis on HRSD, CSM, ITSM, CMDB, and portal work.

You will own end-to-end implementations, manage production and sandbox environments, and drive integrations with Jira and PagerDuty while delivering robust reports and dashboards. You will also lead upgrades, security administration, and user training, ensuring smooth IT service

Qualifications

• Must have 8+ years of experience in ServiceNow with HRSD, CSM, ITSM, Portal and CMDB
• End-to-end implementations for CSM, ITSM, HRSD, CMDB
• Support ServiceNow users and production/sandbox environments
• Covers Case, HR Case, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge
• Experience with inbound/outbound integrations and integration hub
• Release upgrade testing and application security administration
• User training on ServiceNow best practices
• Strong scripting in JavaScript and ServiceNow platform
• REST/SOAP/API based integrations design and support
• Experience with Jira and PagerDuty integrations

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on ServiceNow ITSM/CSM/HRSD configuration and development
• Manage production and sandbox environments and upgrades
• Support enterprise ServiceNow environments with minimal supervision
• Develop and support integrations via REST/SOAP and integration hub
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards
• Train users on standard ServiceNow practices
• Troubleshoot incidents and data sync issues across integrations
• Oversee Jira and PagerDuty integration work
• Design, build and troubleshoot CMDB and Discovery processes

Support Hours: IST daytime with a few hours overlapping PST until 12 PM PST (which is 3 pm IST to 12.30 am IST)

Job Description:

• Must have 8+ years of experience in modules ServiceNow experience with Human Resource Service Delivery (HRSD), Customer Service Management (CSM), IT Service Management (ITSM), Portal experience and Configuration Management Database (CMDB)

• Strong hands-on ServiceNow ITSM experience, including scripting, configuration, and production support.
• Good experience with ServiceNow integrations, especially with external tools such as Jira and PagerDuty.
• Hands-on experience with CMDB and Discovery.
• Strong experience with JavaScript / ServiceNow scripting, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer, and related automation.
• Ability to design, build, troubleshoot, and support REST/SOAP/API-based integrations.
• Experience handling integration failures, data sync issues, authentication/connectivity issues, and production incidents.
• Strong understanding of ITSM processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Service Catalog.
• Experience supporting enterprise ServiceNow environments with minimal supervision.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work directly with business and technical stakeholders.
• Should be comfortable taking ownership of the existing integration landscape and upcoming Jira and PagerDuty integration work.
