Job summary

Luby Equipment is seeking a Service Manager to support branch service technicians, maximize productivity, ensure equipment is properly maintained and repaired, and deliver outstanding customer service.

You will work closely with the General Service Manager and other branch personnel to coordinate shop and field activities, evaluate technician performance, prepare accurate quotations, and drive growth across all lines of business while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in heavy equipment and customer service.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and schematics/diagrams.
• Proficient with MS Office and dealer business systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and team-first mentality.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shop and field technicians to maximize productivity.
• Evaluate technician performance and identify skills training through coaching and OEM training.
• Supervise diagnosis and repair of customer, rental, and owned equipment to ensure safe, high-quality work.
• Ensure accurate quotations, correct problem diagnosis, and minimize rework.
• Prepare, process, and ensure work order documentation is completed timely.
• Advise customers on repairs before, during, and after work is completed.
• Maximize warranty reimbursement claims by collaborating with warranty administrator and technicians.
• Promote a culture of safety and discipline through leadership and accountability.
• Track running costs of service trucks across locations, including mile reports.
• Keep track of maintenance and repairs for all service trucks.
• Handle DOT and License reporting and record-keeping.
• Set up TFM and SiteWatch in the system; ProCare scheduling in the system.
