Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Senior Service Engineering Manager at the Mounds View, MN facility to lead a team responsible for service engineering design, development, and lifecycle support of complex medical device hardware and software. This hybrid role requires on-site collaboration at least 4 days per week and may involve up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or technical field with 7+ years in Engineering, Quality, or regulated industry with 5+ years in leadership OR Advanced Degree with 5+ years in leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead team responsible for service engineering design, development, and lifecycle support for complex medical device hardware and software.
• Provide input into service strategy, training, and field service documentation.
• Provide engineering leadership for escalated technical issues, risk management, and product improvements.
• Partner across Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and Service & Repair to meet compliance and business needs.
• Manage performance, develop talent, ensure engagement and inclusion, and communicate updates to the team.
• Coach and mentor to develop high-performing engineering talent with accountability and collaboration.
