Job summary

Boston Scientific in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager for Electronic Medical Systems. You will lead a team of mechanical hardware engineers responsible for design, development, verification, and sustainment of innovative medical equipment within the Interventional Cardiology division.

This on-site role requires strategic leadership, cross‑functional collaboration, and strict adherence to design controls and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Biotechnical, Electromechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant mechanical engineering or product development experience.
• 3+ years of experience in technical or engineering management.
• Experience guiding mechanical product design, integration, reviews, and verification/validation.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, recruit, coach, and develop a high‑performing mechanical engineering team.
• Own and guide mechanical engineering strategy, architecture, and execution for EME programs from feasibility to sustainment.
• Provide technical direction and reviews on design tradeoffs, risks, and problem solving.
• Partner with program managers to assess staffing, priorities, and resources across the Interventional Cardiology portfolio.
