Job summary

Service Design Jobs in McLean, VA seeks a Service Designer to guide government clients through our Design Intelligence framework, leading discovery sessions, uncovering pain points, and translating user needs into actionable opportunities.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in an Agile environment, create journey maps, service blueprints, personas, and ecosystem maps, and ensure high-quality deliverables that advance mission objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years total experience in service design or human-centered design preferred.
• Experience conducting primary and secondary research including interviews and workshops.
• Portfolio demonstrating ideation, methods, tools, and craft.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery to understand client mission, stakeholders, users, journeys and objectives.
• Facilitate workshops and interviews to frame pain points and opportunities.
• Synthesize research to shape strategy, service and workflow improvements and vision.
• Create journey maps, service blueprints, personas, and ecosystem maps.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team within an Agile environment.
• Ensure research is integrated into technology and platform considerations.
