Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Server, Storage & Network Engineer to design, implement, and support infrastructure solutions for customers in the southeastern United States. This senior role combines hands-on engineering, technical consulting, and project delivery across servers, storage, virtualization, backups, and networking.

The ideal candidate translates customer needs into practical solutions, leads complex deployments, and builds trusted relationships with technology teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering, implementation, or advanced technical support.
• Strong hands-on experience across enterprise servers, storage, virtualization, and networking, with deep expertise in one or more areas.
• Experience delivering infrastructure deployments, migrations, and upgrades from planning through customer handoff.
• Experience with Windows Server and/or Linux, directory services, and virtualization platforms.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, wireless networking, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Experience with SAN/NAS storage, backup and recovery systems, and high-availability configurations.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues across interconnected infrastructure platforms.
• Strong customer communication, documentation, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple customer engagements and work independently at customer sites.
• Willingness to travel throughout the southeastern U.S., including occasional overnight travel.
• Availability for scheduled evening or weekend work associated with customer deployments and maintenance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Technical Consulting for customer infrastructure.
• Lead deployments, migrations, upgrades, and refresh projects.
• Install and configure servers, SAN/NAS storage, and backup platforms.
• Deploy network gear, VPNs, and security configurations.
• Coordinate with project managers and vendors to meet scope and schedule.
• Provide customer training and handoffs.
