Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Server, Storage & Network Engineer to design, implement, and support infrastructure solutions for customers across the southeastern U.S., with a focus on K–12 and higher education. This hands-on role blends engineering, technical consulting, and full project delivery, requiring strong customer-facing skills and a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering, implementation, or advanced technical support.
• Hands-on experience across enterprise servers, storage, virtualization, and networking.
• Experience with Windows Server and/or Linux, directory services, and virtualization platforms.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and VPNs.
• Experience with SAN/NAS storage, backup and recovery systems, and high-availability configurations.
• Willingness to travel throughout the southeastern U.S. (75%).
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer infrastructure, identify gaps, and design solutions that fit technical requirements and budgets.
• Design reliable, secure, and scalable server, storage, virtualization, and network environments.
• Lead technical discovery, validation, and proposals with sales teams.
• Manage deployments, migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure refresh projects.
• Install and configure servers, hypervisors, SAN/NAS storage, and backup platforms.
• Troubleshoot network devices (switches, routers, firewalls) and VPNs.
• Act as senior escalation resource for complex customer issues.
• Design multi-campus infrastructure and high-density wireless environments.
• Prepare documentation for education procurement and E-Rate projects.
