Job summary

Wpromote is seeking an experienced SEO leader to manage multi-client accounts from strategy to execution, focusing on local and ecommerce SEO, multi-location performance, and reputation programs. You will collaborate with client teams to align business goals with search initiatives, while guiding junior staff and driving cross-channel opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience doing SEO work for clients within an agency environment.
• 1-2 years client facing experience.
• Experience leading SEO strategy for local and ecommerce clients, including multi-location or service-area businesses.
• Desire to lead strategy for multiple large growth SEO clients.
• Understand basics of SEO such as keyword research & website architecture.
• Familiar with Google Analytics and basics of content marketing.
• Experience with keyword research/data mining tools and competitive analysis.
• Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides) proficiency required.
• Experience with CMS such as WordPress, Shopify, or Magento is a plus.
• Ability to quickly pick up new skills and learn new tasks.
• Proven track record of successful project management and multi-tasking with deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Experience with local SEO for multi-location or service-area businesses and managing local listings.
• Understanding of online review/reputation workflows and escalation processes.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted search and LLM-based discovery, and ability to assess opportunities without overclaiming measurement.
• Ability to connect local and AI-search recommendations to client goals and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Working on multiple client websites by implementing changes to comply with Google's best practices.
• Retain existing business while pursuing profitable growth opportunities in SEO investments and cross-channel upsells.
• Communicating regularly with clients to discuss goals and deliver results.
• Utilizing business acumen to work with client teams to identify business needs and campaign objectives.
• Strategizing with team members to craft creative solutions for clients.
• Tracking changes in organic, local, and AI-powered search and prioritizing recommendations.
• Creating reports to gauge progress and inform clients of value.
• Presenting findings to influence onsite content strategy.
• Leading the sales process and assisting in solution development and proposals.
• Working with client development teams to implement changes or do so with client approval.
• Mentoring junior staff and serving as a role model for the department.
• Managing local listings at scale, auditing business details, and measuring visibility and engagement.
• Building local reputation programs including review generation and sentiment analysis.
• Developing SEO strategies for AI-powered search and monitoring AI-generated citations.
• Translating AI-search findings into actionable content and technical recommendations.
• Educating clients and internal teams on search changes and incorporating opportunities into roadmaps.
