Job summary

DEPT is seeking an Associate Director, SEO to steer long-term organic growth for enterprise accounts and to bridge technical SEO with the broader media landscape. You will shape GEO and AI-driven initiatives to keep clients visible as search evolves into an answer-engine world.

You will lead senior client relationships, guide new business pitches, and mentor a team of Managers and Associates toward high performance and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of SEO experience with large-scale or enterprise clients.
• Proven people management experience (3+ years) with talent development.
• Strong technical SEO fluency: JS rendering, migrations, API-driven SEO.
• Deep understanding of AI search and GEO integration into organic strategy.
• Experience in business development and scoping projects for growth.
• Expertise in Total Search synergy between Paid and Organic channels.
• Proficient in data visualization tools and enterprise SEO platforms.

Responsibilities

• Direct long-term SEO and GEO strategies for enterprise accounts.
• Lead integration of SEO with Paid Search, Social, and PR for Total Search.
• Present data-driven roadmaps to clients and identify Growth Invention opportunities.
• Architect authority-building programs and oversee digital PR integration.
• Provide oversight on site migrations, headless architecture, and schema.
• Drive new business pitches and expand existing accounts with SEO/GEO scope.
• Mentor Managers and Associates, fostering high performance and growth.
• Stay ahead of AI-driven search, SGE, voice search, and data visualization trends.
