Job summary

Seer is seeking a Senior SEO Lead to manage 6-8 teammates and own the strategic growth of our Organic offering. You will nurture executive relationships with CMOs and senior stakeholders, translating 5-year ROI into actionable insights and ensuring our strategic value is clear.

You will drive cross-functional collaboration with Paid Media, Creative, and Client Engagement to identify upsell opportunities and expand the client portfolio, while innovating with AI-driven SEO strategies and GEO

Qualifications

• Proven people management experience with 6–8 direct reports.
• Hands-on SEO + GEO agency experience across content strategy, analytics, and paid media.
• Deep GEO experience with AI-powered discovery and generative search strategies.
• Strong enthusiasm for AI as a working tool and pilot new workflows.
• Excellent client management with C-level stakeholders.
• Conflict resolution skills in high-stakes client and team situations.
• Experience engaging with CMOs and senior stakeholders on business impact of SEO/GEO.
• Track record of driving account growth and revenue.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a 6-8 person team, owning onboarding, performance management, coaching, and career development.
• Retain and grow your client portfolio, with upsell and cross-sell when appropriate.
• Own executive relationships on accounts, translating SEO/GEO ROI for leadership.
• Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities across portfolio with internal teams.
• Drive Seer's Organic offering forward by innovating SEO + GEO practices.
• Champion AI and innovation as a disciplined practice across the team.
• Set the direction for the SEO team and contribute to sourcing and hiring.
• Share knowledge on industry trends and tests with clients and the wider org.
• Mentor and coach direct reports and junior members.
• Drive thought leadership through testing and trends to benefit clients.
