Job summary
SSI Technologies, LLC in Janesville, WI seeks a Sensor Development Engineer III to lead speed and position sensing product development from concept through production launch. You will drive technical decisions across magnetic design, sensor electronics, materials, packaging, validation, and manufacturing, collaborating with customers and internal teams.
The role requires strong background in VR/Hall/MR sensing, magnetic circuits, and signal processing, with proven leadership in automotive-grade
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience owning products through full development lifecycle.
- Hands-on with VR, Hall-effect, or MR sensors and related sensing tech.
- Strong understanding of magnetic circuit design and performance tradeoffs.
- Experience translating customer requirements into design targets and deliverables.
- Experience with DFMEA, APQP, PPAP and production launch support.
- Ability to lead multiple technical projects with focus on cost/time/quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead concept-to-launch development for speed/position sensing products.
- Translate customer requirements into engineering deliverables and targets.
- Collaborate with customers, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.
- Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and engineering decision processes.
- Develop VR, Hall-effect, and MR sensor solutions and magnetic circuits.
- Plan and execute DV/PV testing and environmental validation.
- Support DFM/DFR and successful transition to volume manufacturing.
