Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group in Rockford, IL is seeking a Sensor Development Engineer to lead the development of speed and position sensing products from concept through production launch.

You will translate customer requirements into robust sensing solutions by integrating magnetic design, sensor electronics, materials, mechanical packaging, validation, and manufacturing processes, while collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, reliable, and cost-effective

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with sensing technologies such as VR, Hall-effect, MR and rotary/linear position sensors.
  • Understanding of electromagnetic and magnetic circuit design principles.
  • Not a designer role; responsible for the product from concept through production launch.
  • Familiarity with automotive product development processes (APQP/DFMEA/PPAP).

  • Lead development of speed and position sensing products from concept through production launch.
  • Translate customer requirements into robust sensing solutions by integrating magnetic design, sensor electronics, materials, mechanical packaging, validation, and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, reliable, and cost-effective products that meet performance, quality, timing, and business objectives.

Job description

Requirements:
  • Hands on experience with one or more of the following sensing technologies:
    • Variable Reluctance (VR) sensors
    • Hall-effect sensors
    • Mangetoresistive (MR) sensors
    • Rotary position sensors
    • Linear position sensor
  • Understanding of electromagnetic and magnetic circuit design principles.
  • This is not a designer role. The individual will be responsible for the product from concept through production launch.
  • Must know automotive product development processes.
    • APQP/DFMEA/PPAP etc.

The Sensor Development Engineer is responsible for leading the development of speed and position sensingproductsfromconceptthroughproductionlaunch.Servesasthetechnicalleaderforassigned programs, translating customer requirements into robust sensing solutions through the integration of magnetic design, sensor electronics, materials, mechanical packaging, validation, and manufacturing processes.Collaborateswithcustomersandcross-functionalteamstodeliverinnovative,reliable,and cost-effective products that meet performance, quality, timing, and business objectives
