Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a Sensor Development Engineer in Rockford, IL to lead speed and position sensor development from concept through production launch. You will act as the technical leader for the program, translating customer requirements into robust sensing solutions that integrate magnetic design, electronics, materials, and packaging.

You will collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, reliable, and cost-effective products that meet performance,

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with sensing technologies.
• Knowledge of electromagnetic and magnetic circuit design.
• Not a designer role; lead product from concept to production.
• Familiar with automotive product development processes (APQP/DFMEA/PPAP).

Responsibilities

• Lead development of speed and position sensing products from concept to production launch.
• Serve as technical leader for assigned programs.

Requirements:

• Hands on experience with one or more of the following sensing technologies:
  • Variable Reluctance (VR) sensors
  • Hall-effect sensors
  • Mangetoresistive (MR) sensors
  • Rotary position sensors
  • Linear position sensor
• Understanding of electromagnetic and magnetic circuit design principles.
• This is not a designer role. The individual will be responsible for the product from concept through production launch.
• Must know automotive product development processes.
  • APQP/DFMEA/PPAP etc.
