Job summary

Amazon Lab126 is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist in Sensors/ Sensor Algorithms to pioneer sensor-based ML solutions for Echo, Kindle, Fire TV, and Fire Tablets. You will transform research into production-quality sensor algorithms across diverse hardware platforms.

The role requires strong ML and signal processing foundations, experience deploying on edge/embedded devices, and ability to collaborate with engineers, scientists, and product managers to deliver impactful customer experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building ML models for business applications.
• PhD or Master's with 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Experience developing and implementing deep learning algorithms, particularly in computer vision.
• Demonstrated expertise in Kalman filtering (EKF/UKF) or other Bayesian estimation for fusing multiple sensor modalities.
• Strong foundation in rigid-body dynamics, coordinate-frame transformations, and quaternion attitude representation for INS/ dead-reckoning.
• Demonstrated expertise shipping ML and signal processing algorithms on Edge/Embedded devices.
