Job summary

SkyWater Technology, Inc. in Bloomington, MN, seeks a Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician (Diffusion) for the C Shift to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on semiconductor fabrication machines.

The role requires detailed work, documentation, and collaboration with engineers in a fast-paced fab environment. Qualified candidates have a 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience, solid English communication, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and work 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and document tasks.
• Project initiation and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Use of hand tools and electrical/mechanical testing devices.
• Fluency in English (written & spoken).

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment per plans and manuals.
• Use test/diagnostic equipment to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance on production equipment.
• Maintain quality documentation for standards.
• Rebuild equipment and sub-assemblies as required.
• Modify equipment as directed by engineers.
• Participate in maintenance and cross-functional teams (5S+, CIP).
• Lead small projects and liaise with outside vendors.
