Job summary

SkyWater Technology Foundry in Bloomington, MN is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of semiconductor fabrication machines. The role starts with training shifts (E Shift) and then moves to 12-hour shifts (C Shift) with responsibilities including equipment repairs and documentation.

Qualified candidates will have a 2-year technical degree or equivalent military training, 5+ years in semiconductor equipment, and

Qualifications

• 2 Year Technical/Associates Degree in Science, Math, Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing or equivalent, or military training/work experience.
• 5+ Years of Semiconductor Equipment Experience.
• Able to troubleshoot electro/mechanical/fluidic circuits and perform repairs and modifications.
• Follow detailed instructions and maintain required documentation.
• Define and manage projects to improve tool function and metrics; work in cross-functional teams.
• Use hand tools such as wrenches, calipers, meters, oscilloscopes and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble semiconductor fabrication equipment.
• Use test/diagnostic equipment to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance on production equipment.
• Maintain required quality documentation.
• Rebuild equipment/sub-assemblies as needed.
• Work with engineers on equipment modifications and 5S/CIP initiatives.
• Lead small projects and coordinate with outside vendors when required.
• Handle chemicals and manage spares inventory.
