Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Engineer to lead project teams on sediment remediation projects for Federal and Public sector clients.

You will evaluate remediation technologies, prepare designs for riverine, coastal and port sites, and coordinate with clients and staff to ensure compliance with CERCLA and related regulations. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and prepare designs for riverine, coastal, riparian/floodplain, and/or port site settings.
• Understand sediment transport, environmental site assessment, sampling/monitoring, cap modeling, dredge approaches, and remedial action design/construction.
• Support mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
• Serve as task manager on sediment sites, communicating technical strategy to clients and experts.
• Lead staff in preparing and reviewing technical information to meet regulations and policy.
