Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Engineer. You will lead projects evaluating remediation technologies for riverine, coastal, and port sites, coordinating engineers and scientists across teams.

You will apply CERCLA and related regulatory knowledge, oversee data analyses, and communicate complex designs to clients and stakeholders. Travel up to 10% may be required, with driving as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and design sediment remediation solutions.
• Lead a team of engineers/scientists on sediment projects for federal/public clients.
• Support statistical analyses of environmental data sets.
• Act as task manager, communicating technical strategies to clients and SMEs.
• Liaise with client, public, and outside consultants on technical evaluations.
• Guide staff in preparing technically sound documentation compliant with regulations.
