Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Engineer to lead projects for federal and public sector clients. You will apply expertise in remediation technologies, design, and site assessments to deliver technically sound solutions.

The role requires a PE license, a Civil/Environmental/C Chemical Engineering degree, and ~7 years of related experience. Travel up to 10% may be required, with a competitive USD salary range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise evaluating feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and designs for riverine, coastal, riparian/floodplain, and port site settings.
• Understand sediment transport, environmental site assessment, sampling/monitoring techniques, cap modeling, dredge approaches, remedial action design.
• Support mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
• Serve as CDM Smith’s task manager on complex sediment sites and communicate technical strategy to clients and team.
• Lead staff in preparing and reviewing technical documents to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Act as liaison with clients, public, and outside consultants to convey complex evaluations clearly.
