Job summary

Convergint Federal in Columbia, MD is seeking a Service Technician II to install, maintain, and troubleshoot security systems within the Field Operations Department.

You will work on access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems, collaborate with project teams, provide client training, and maintain thorough service documentation.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, US citizenship, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school degree/GED required. Relevant trade certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in installation and maintenance of security systems.
• Certifications: Lenel S2, Software House CCure 9000; state/local licenses as required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain security systems (access control, video surveillance, intrusion).
• Conduct system upgrades and modifications to meet client requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful implementation of security solutions.
• Provide on-site and remote support to address client concerns and maintain system functionality.
• Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, equipment inventory, and configuration changes.
