Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation in Colorado is seeking a Senior Systems Security Manager to lead security strategy, oversee high‑stakes projects, and mentor a team of security professionals. You will ensure robust and scalable defenses aligned with business goals in a hybrid office setting.

Responsibilities include risk assessment, threat monitoring, and research into new security technologies. Must have TS clearance and deep experience with RMF, JSIG, NISPOM, and SAP/SCIF environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field; higher degree can substitute experience.
• 11+ years of IT security experience; leadership of security teams.
• Experience with A&A, RMF for DoD, JSIG and NIST RMF.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• Strong mentoring, coaching and program leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic security initiatives and policies.
• Manage and lead a team of senior security professionals.
• Oversee and coordinate high-stakes security projects.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
• Monitor and respond to advanced security threats and incidents.
• Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to security staff.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align security with business goals.
• Research, evaluate, and integrate latest security technologies and practices.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Report on security posture and incidents to executive leadership.
• Coordinate responses to SAP-related security incidents per DoDM 5205.07 and SAPF/SCIF procedures.
