Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation in Beavercreek, OH seeks a Senior Systems Security Engineer to design and implement secure IT infrastructure. You will lead security projects, mentor junior engineers, and provide strategic security guidance in a DoD/IC environment.

Required TS clearance with SCI eligibility, US citizenship, and extensive experience with security controls, Nessus, and frameworks. Candidates must work on-site in Ohio with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, IT or related discipline.
• 8+ years of IT security experience or equivalent.
• Experience as ISSO/ISSE or network/engineer roles may substitute for education.
• Proficiency with Linux and Windows systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of secure IT infrastructure.
• Perform advanced security monitoring and threat analysis.
• Develop and enforce security controls and protocols.
• Research and evaluate new security technologies.
• Manage IS patching, updating, and vulnerability scanning.
• Maintain day-to-day security posture and monitoring.
• Interface with staff and customers to provide security guidance.
