Job summary

Tech Systems, Inc. is seeking a Lead Security Systems Technician to install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic security systems across healthcare facilities within the assigned market.

The role includes overseeing apprentices, interpreting blueprints, and coordinating with teams on access control and video systems. You will work with systems such as Software House, Genetec, Hugs, Pro-Watch, and Avigilon, and travel primarily within the Dallas/Houston markets as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in commercial security systems installation or service.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience programming access control and video systems.
• Networking experience required.
• Possession of factory/internal security system certifications to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Install low-voltage security systems in new construction and existing commercial environments.
• Install and terminate end devices, including badge readers, motion detectors, glass break sensors, magnetic locks, door strikes, IP and analog cameras.
• Dress and terminate access control and security head-end panels in IDF rooms, including light conduit work as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Provide daily direction, oversight, and training to Apprentices.
• Perform preventative maintenance on access control and video systems and provide updates to management.
• Assist with technical support issues and troubleshooting as needed.
