Job summary

Tech Systems, Inc. in Dallas, TX seeks a Lead Security Systems Technician to install, service, and troubleshoot electronic security systems across healthcare facilities.

You will support access control, video surveillance, infant protection, intrusion detection, and perimeter security while guiding apprentice technicians. The role requires hands-on experience with access control and video systems, strong IT skills, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in commercial security systems installation or service.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience programming access control and video systems.
• Networking experience required.

Responsibilities

• Install low-voltage security systems in new construction and existing commercial environments.
• Install and terminate end devices, including badge readers, motion detectors, glass break sensors, magnetic locks, door strikes, IP and analog cameras, and camera lenses.
• Dress and terminate access control and security head‑end panels within IDF rooms, including light conduit work as needed.
• Work with various systems, including Software House, Genetec, Hugs, Pro‑Watch, and Avigilon.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Perform preventative maintenance on access control and video systems and provide updates to management.
• Provide daily direction, oversight, and training to Apprentice Installation Technicians.
• Assist with technical support issues and troubleshooting as needed.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Manager or TSi leadership.
