Job summary

Homeland Safety Systems in Texas is seeking a skilled Installation Technician with 2+ years of experience to install and service electronic security systems for commercial customers. Qualifications

• Must pass state and federal background checks and pre-employment drug screens.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% and work nights/weekends.
• Experience in low voltage and access control with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (MVR).
• Ability to obtain proper state licensing for security clearance.
• Proficient reading of electrical schematics, site maps and drawings.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Professional demeanor and customer rapport.
• Ability to operate hand tools and install CCTV equipment.
• Physically able to lift at least 50 pounds and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently install and service Homeland safety solutions using installation folders and maps.
• Lead installation activities, including electrical wiring, drilling, trenching, and guiding a team.
• Connect control panels, install software, conceal wiring, and verify compliance with requirements.
• Review site plans and installation manuals to verify materials and procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance of installed equipment.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues effectively.
• Train customers on software and equipment usage and navigation.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and equipment used.
• Coordinate with Operations and other technicians to build strong customer relationships.
• Maintain a professional rapport with customers and colleagues.
• Complete Daily Project Reports.
• Stay informed of new products and developments.
