Job summary

Pref-Tech in Texas is seeking a Security System Lead Technician to guide a small team through access control, video surveillance, and intrusion projects. You will support Project Managers, manage materials, perform installs, troubleshoot, and ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget and to high quality standards.

Travel 10-20%, must have TX license, 5+ years security experience, 2+ years leadership, strong reading of drawings, and ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 5 years of security experience.
• At least 2 years of leadership experience.
• Texas DPS security license (or ability to obtain immediately).
• Familiarity with Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion, and Cabling systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily tasks with Project Manager/Superintendent.
• Lead, coach, and mentor technician team.
• Install cabling and equipment; read/readers and locks.
• Troubleshoot cabling, readers, cameras, and intrusion equipment.
• Document progress and report to customers and PMs.
