Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Commercial Installer to work on-site with commercial customers, setting up and programming integrated security systems. The role includes dismantling and reconstructing equipment as required and coordinating with police/fire departments on larger projects.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 6+ years in electrical/electronic systems, blueprint reading, and strong customer service skills. A competitive benefits package is included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Some technical school training is a plus.
• Minimum 6+ years experience with electrical/electronic equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints or schematics.
• Proficient with hand/power tools.
• Safe vehicle operation and customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Install and program integrated security fire and security systems on site.
• Dismantle and reconstruct equipment as needed.
• Follow schematics, wiring diagrams and hookup procedures.
• Coordinate with customers and emergency services as required.
• Test systems and verify operation with monitoring center.
• Mentor and coach less experienced installers.
