Job summary

M.C. Dean in the Washington, DC area seeks a Security Systems Engineer 3 to design, install, test and sustain enterprise security and IT systems for federal, local, and commercial customers.

You will work with Design/Install and O&M teams to deliver secure, integrated solutions meeting ICD 705 and government standards. Qualifications include a STEM degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, plus expertise with access control, video management, perimeter security, and data center networking.

Qualifications

• Education in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical or IT.
• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years or Master’s degree with 3+ years experience.
• Experience with electronic security systems and cyber/IA requirements.
• Knowledge of security standards and government compliance (ICD 705).
• Experience with data center networking and software-defined networks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and remediate complex systems availability, performance, and IA issues in a mission-critical environment.
• Assist with analysis, engineering, and deployment of system improvements and automation.
• Document infrastructure designs, test plans, and standard operating procedures.
• Perform security updates to hardware/software to maintain security posture.
• Research and prototype emerging security technologies with industry partners.
