Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Sr. Security Software Engineer for Starlink in Redmond, WA. You will shape the security of software across product lines, with emphasis on cryptography, network security, and OS security.

You’ll work across teams to outsmart adversaries and protect a global satellite internet system. Responsibilities include building security infrastructure, implementing security features for Starlink hardware, and driving secure factory processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related STEM field with 5+ years of security software development experience, or 7+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with one or more software languages (Python, C++, Go).
• Experience designing and implementing security for OS, distributed systems, or large-scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and build security infrastructure for Starlink, including cryptographic services and security-critical services.
• Develop security features for Starlink systems such as routers, dishes, gateways and satellites.
• Incorporate security into factory processes and provide network services support.
• Maintain and improve security posture in production systems; offer recommendations to other teams.
