SpaceX in Bastrop, TX is seeking a Sr. Security Software Engineer to influence the security of software across Starlink products. You will design cryptographic services and security-critical features across routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline with 5+ years in security software development; or 7+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Python, C++, Golang.
• Experience designing and implementing security solutions for OS, distributed systems, or large-scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and build security infrastructure for Starlink, including cryptographic services and security-critical services
• Develop security features for Starlink systems (router, dish, gateways, satellites)
• Design security into factory processes and provide network services in support of this
• Maintain existing production systems and improve security posture via implementation and recommendations
• Build prototypes and test security improvements
• Further our mission of providing secure Internet to underserved communities
