Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond is seeking an engineer to influence the security of software across space and terrestrial systems. You will design and build security infrastructure for Starlink, including cryptographic services and other security-critical services.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in CS or a STEM field or 2+ years in security software development, plus experience with Python, C++, or Golang and securing OS/distributed systems. Excellent collaboration is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or STEM or 2+ years of security software development experience.
• Experience with one or more software languages (Python, C++, Golang).
• Experience designing security for OSes, distributed systems, or large-scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and build security infrastructure for Starlink, including cryptographic services and other security-critical services.
• Develop security features for Starlink systems, including router, dish, gateways, and satellites.
• Design security into factory processes and provide network services in support of this.
• Maintain existing production systems and improve security posture via implementation and cross-team guidance.
• Build prototypes and test security improvements.
