Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a highly skilled security researcher to analyze in-the-wild exploits and document techniques for defense. The role focuses on vulnerability analysis, reverse engineering, and building automation to accelerate defensive insights.

The position emphasizes collaboration with the Intelligence team, producing high-quality threat intelligence reports and actionable mitigations. Remote work is available with potential travel.

Qualifications

• MA/MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficiency in exploitation techniques commonly seen in userspace/kernel vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of Windows and other OS exploitation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Implement tracking systems for cross-team adversary tracking based on exploitation behavior.
• Improve capabilities to detect exploits, malicious payloads, and attack vectors.
• Identify opportunities to increase threat visibility using new data sources.
• Maintain understanding of exploits through reverse engineering.
• Develop tools to automate exploit analysis tasks with static and dynamic analysis frameworks.
• Create a classification framework for attribution of intrusion activity.
• Contribute to active mitigation efforts with technical expertise.
• Develop host-based and network-based signatures for large-scale hunting, detection and prevention.
