Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a highly skilled security researcher to analyze in-the-wild exploits and vulnerabilities, working with our TAC team to track adversaries and deliver actionable intelligence. This role emphasizes defensive analysis, reverse engineering, and tool development in a fast-paced, AI-enabled environment.

You will contribute to cross-team efforts, produce high-quality threat reports, and help develop mitigation strategies while collaborating with intelligence and product teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques for userspace and kernel-level vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of at least two operating system platforms (Windows).
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.
• Collaborative mindset and teamwork.
• Proficiency with reverse engineering tools and processes.
• Programming/scripting in Python.
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools for vulnerability research and exploit analysis.
• Strong writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement tracking systems for adversary tracking based on exploitation behavior.
• Improve detection of exploits and malicious payloads using existing data sources.
• Identify opportunities to increase threat visibility through new data sources.
• Maintain understanding of exploit internals via reverse engineering.
• Develop tools to automate exploit analysis tasks.
• Create a classification framework for intrusion activity.
• Contribute to active mitigation with technical expertise.
• Develop host-based and network-based signatures for large-scale hunting and prevention.
