Elastic is seeking a Senior Security Research Engineer to lead the design of visibility and prevention capabilities for Elastic Defend. You will work with a global team of researchers, data scientists, and engineers to create novel protections against evolving threats.

You will contribute to end-to-end protection, perform malware analysis, and help shape the technical direction of Elastic Security across platforms.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience analyzing attacker tactics and building detection methods.
• 6+ years of development experience in C, C++, and Python for security-critical code.
• Deep OS internals knowledge, Windows depth preferred; macOS/Linux also valued.

Responsibilities

• Research attacker techniques and translate them into protections.
• Extend endpoint visibility by instrumenting Windows, macOS, and Linux sources.
• Develop production C/C++ code that runs on millions of endpoints.
