Job summary

Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Security EDR Workflows team. You will design features powering Elastic Defend UI, build APIs, and help shape the forensics and OSQuery integration across high‑scale systems.

You’ll collaborate with product, design, and other security teams to deliver robust capabilities and push engineering practices forward with AI‑assisted tooling and cross‑timezone collaboration.

Qualifications

• Solid programming in Typescript/Node.js and React.js.
• Ability to own problems end-to-end from requirements to production.
• Interest in applying AI to accelerate development and problem solving.
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Elastic Defend UI features.
• Build APIs to interact with Elastic Defend data.
• Contribute to the architecture of Defend management and OSQuery forensics.
• Develop scalable, high-performance systems within the Elastic ecosystem.
• Ensure reliability, observability, and operational health from design to production.
• Write production-grade code in Typescript/Node.js (and potentially other languages).
• Collaborate with other Elastic engineering teams on cross-team efforts.
• Contribute to engineering standards and tooling improvements driven by AI usage.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design decisions.
