Job summary

Elastic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Security EDR Workflows team. You will design and implement UI features for Elastic Defend, develop APIs, and contribute to the architecture of the management and response actions framework with OSquery forensics capabilities.

The role emphasizes scalable systems, reliability, and collaboration across engineering teams. You will write production-grade TypeScript/Node.js code, engage in cross-team initiatives, and apply AI to accelerate

Qualifications

• Solid programming experience in Typescript/Node JS and React JS.
• Ability to take ownership of problems end-to-end: from clarifying requirements to delivering in production.
• You take advantage of AI for better comprehension of complex problems and ramping up solutions.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex topics to technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement features powering Elastic Defend UI capabilities.
• Build and evolve APIs for interacting with Elastic Defend data.
• Contribute to architecture of Elastic Defend management and OSquery forensics frameworks.
• Develop scalable, high-performance systems within the Elastic ecosystem.
• Own reliability, observability, and operational health from design to production.
• Write production-grade code in Typescript/Node JS (and other languages as needed).
• Collaborate with other Elastic engineering teams on cross-team efforts.
• Contribute to engineering standards, tooling, and processes driven by AI usage.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design decisions, and ongoing improvements.
