Expedia Group is seeking a Principal Analyst – Security Operations in Seattle to lead complex security analyses, design monitoring workflows, and drive measurable risk reduction across the enterprise. You will mentor teams and help translate security findings into actionable requirements.

You will also integrate AI/ML-enabled detections, collaborate with engineering and product teams, and help maintain a proactive security posture with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience in security operations, including hands-on incident detection, investigation, and response.
• Proven ownership of security operations across multiple services or domains.
• Strong technical expertise in SIEM/EDR, log management, and security analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with AI-driven systems and automation in security contexts.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex security operations analyses to detect, investigate, and respond to threats across Expedia Group's environments.
• Design, optimize, and standardize security monitoring and incident response workflows, including runbooks and escalation paths.
• Partner with engineering, incident management, and product teams to translate findings into actionable requirements and remediation plans.
• Develop analytics, detections, dashboards, and reporting for senior stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across global security operations, shaping best practices in log management and alert tuning.
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions to improve detection, triage, and response outcomes.
