Expedia Group is hiring a Senior Product Security Architect in San Jose to shape secure, scalable travel technology platforms. You will partner with product, engineering, and platform teams to embed security by design, perform threat modeling, and lead AI-driven security initiatives across the org.

You will drive continuous verification of security controls, communicate complex trade-offs to leaders, and mentor teams to elevate product security literacy while advancing secure, high-velocity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in product security and development.
• Experience with threat modeling for applications and architectures.
• Experience reviewing architectures for security risks.
• Significant experience applying Generative AI in software development.
• Understanding CI/CD and how AI can improve quality and velocity.
• Familiarity with agentic architectures and related concepts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted product security architecture advisor to product and engineering teams.
• Lead threat modeling and security assessments for new products and platforms.
• Embed security requirements into roadmaps, reviews, and delivery processes.
• Provide leadership on AI-enabled security tooling and practices across the org.
• Drive continuous verification of security controls via AI-enabled automation.
• Communicate trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and architects to raise security literacy and design thinking.
• Identify emerging product security risks and propose long-term architectural approaches.
• Collaborate across IT and security teams to cover end-to-end product lifecycle.
