Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an Enterprise Application Security Engineer to join our Secure AI team in Seattle. You will partner with stakeholders to assess and maintain AI tooling safety, ensuring alignment with Salesforce security standards for scale deployments.

You will identify threats, design secure processes, and share knowledge through internal events and research. Ideal candidates have extensive security engineering and pen testing experience with AI systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a security engineering role including Application Security and pen testing.
• 8+ years in a security engineering role including Application Security and pen testing.
• Develop automated processes and tooling to identify and solve problems at scale.
• Experience with large language models (LLMs) and agentic systems.
• Experience with AI security attack surfaces including prompt injection and data exfiltration.
• Understanding of RAG architectures and retrieval/generation pipelines.
• Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills.
• A related technical degree required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth security assessments of emerging AI technologies—architecture, design reviews, code reviews, and penetration tests—while guiding remediation.
• Threat model attacker methods to develop mitigation techniques balancing security with functionality.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to drive a secure development lifecycle and define security standards and guidelines.
• Research new technologies and threats to support strategic planning and process improvements.
• Build tools to enable secure use of AI at scale.
