Job summary

KellyMitchell Group is seeking a Security Infrastructure Support Security Architect to join our client’s team in Bethesda, MD. The role focuses on designing and deploying secure enterprise IT systems across hybrid environments, on-prem and cloud, ensuring threat detection and compliance.

You will lead deployment and integration of SIEM tools, guide cloud security operations (AWS, Azure, O365), and mentor engineers while collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience architecting, designing, installing, maintaining, and supporting complex enterprise IT systems.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools or SIEM implementation and administration.
• Proven experience managing hybrid infrastructures on-prem and cloud.
• Deep knowledge of cloud security concepts, services, operations, and best practices (AWS, Azure, O365).
• Strong scripting and automation skills, particularly Python.
• Hands-on experience with federal cybersecurity frameworks: FISMA, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-92, OMB M-21-31, CDM.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and deploy secure enterprise IT systems across hybrid environments.
• Lead integration and administration of cybersecurity tools and SIEM platforms.
• Provide guidance on cloud security operations (AWS, Azure, O365 migration, hardening, cost optimization).
• Oversee infrastructure management: Windows/Linux servers, patches, vulnerabilities, network appliances, endpoint security.
• Implement DevSecOps practices across build, test, deployment.
• Develop automation scripts (Python) to improve monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with federal frameworks (FISMA, NIST, CDM).
• Mentor team members and communicate security concepts to stakeholders.
